Annual Spring Benefit 2020
Annual Spring Benefit 2020
Wednesday, May 13, 6-9pm
On May 13, 2020, you’re invited to celebrate with Asian Arts Initiative at our annual spring benefit. This year, we spotlight the intergenerational bonds that have made it possible for us to thrive for over two decades.
This year, we honor honor Gerry Givnish (founder of The Painted Bride Art Center), Maori Karmael Holmes (founder and Director of BlackStar Film Festival), and Catzie Vilayphonh (founder of Laos in the House) for their contributions to the Asian Arts Initiative community and to Philadelphia as a whole. Their work has forever changed the artistic and cultural landscape of the city, paving the way for the next generation, and Asian Arts Initiative pays tribute for all that they’ve done.

Asian Arts Initiative is designed as a mobility accessible facility, with access to all public floors and spaces, and seating accommodations for programmed events. Both non-gendered and individually isolating restrooms are available on each floor, all equipped with changing stations. If contacted in advance, we will make every attempt to fulfill requests for reasonable accommodations such as vision/hearing auxiliary aids and cognitive disability guides. Please note: Due to most events being attended by the general public, we cannot guarantee accommodations for those with fragrance sensitivities. AAI is a family-friendly multigenerational space.
