This exhibition brings together the political art of the South Asian Bahujan American collective, Equality Labs. Equality Labs was formed in 2015 as the first South Asian American arts, organizing, and technology collective led exclusively by Dalit Bahujan Americans. Their work is dedicated to ending caste apartheid, gender based violence, islamophobia, and religious intolerance. This exhibition will explore their pathmaking work to break critical conversations around these issues that has remade our understandings of both South Asian and Asian American immigrant identity. Please join us for the accompanying public programming to delve deeper into these issues with the leaders who launched this organization.
